Obituary for Macy Alexandrea O'Brien

Macy Alexandrea O’Brien, January 6, 1991 - October 31, 2019, 28, a resident of Daphne AL, passed away on October 31, 2019. Macy was born in Mobile AL and split time during her childhood between Mobile AL and Slidell LA. Macy graduated with honors from Murphy High School in 2009. She was outgoing and always put others before herself. She worked in the food and beverage industry for many years striving to make her customers laugh and feel at home. She was presently working towards getting her state of Alabama real-estate license. Macy enjoyed running, sewing/ fashion design, art of all forms, live music, Star Wars, Elvis, Stevie Nicks, Sailor Moon and Dr. Pepper. More than anything though, she loved being a mom to her two babies and spending time with her family and friends. Macy had a smile that would light up a room and a laugh that no one could forget. Macy would want her kids to know that she loved them more than anything and the way to honor her legacy is to go on and live their lives to the fullest, as she did. To know that the best thing she ever did in her short life was to give life to them and that if they reach their full potential and shoot for the stars, that is where they will find her. Macy leaves behind a son Daniel James Bauman Jr. (DJ) age 8, her daughter Mary Jane Prudence Hudson age 3, her daughter Alexis Bauman; her mother Angie Galley Schluter; sisters, Katey Noel O’Brien, Ashley Lambeth Larson (O’Brien); brother, John Schluter IV (JJ); niece, Bailey Larson; nephews, Trip Larson, Mason Larson, Hunter Larson; maternal grandmother, Leona Couvillion Galley; maternal grandfather, Nicol Galley; paternal grandmother, Mary Jane O’Brien; her aunt and Godmother, Kelly O’Brien Poole (Brian); her uncle and Godfather, Nick Galley; stepmother, Tracy Boutwell O’Brien; stepfather, John Schluter III (Jill); Papadeaux, John Schluter Jr; her boyfriend and father to her daughter, Michael Hudson; her ex-husband and father to her son, Daniel Bauman; and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Macy is being welcomed with open arms by her father, Joseph William O’Brien Jr; paternal grandfather, Joseph William O’Brien Sr; uncle, Jeffery O’Brien; cousin, Jake Blackstock O’Brien; and her great-grandparents. A visitation will be held at Little Flower Catholic Church, 2053 Government St, Mobile, AL 36606 on Friday November 8, 2019 from 10AM-12PM. Mass and service to follow at 12 PM. “May the road rise to meet you, and the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm on your face, and the rains fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you gently in the palm of his hand. Arrangements by Ascension Funeral Home, 1016 Hillcrest Road, Mobile, Alabama 36695.
